Age Verification Policy
Why we verify age
It is unlawful to sell alcohol to anyone under 21 in the United States. Every order is treated as an age-restricted sale from the moment the age gate appears to the moment an adult signs for the parcel.
The age gate
The storefront asks you to confirm that you are 21 or over before you can browse the shelf. That confirmation is stored on your device so you are not asked on each page. It is a statement rather than proof, and the checks below do the real work.
At checkout
You are asked for a date of birth with the order. An order whose date of birth indicates a buyer under 21 is cancelled and refunded. The name on the order must match the person who signs for it.
At the door
Every parcel is sent with adult signature required. The carrier asks for photo identification proving the recipient is 21 or over, records the signature, and refuses delivery to anyone who cannot produce it or who appears intoxicated. Carriers will not leave alcohol unattended, with a neighbour or behind a door.
If verification fails
A parcel that cannot be handed to a verified adult returns to us after the carrier’s permitted attempts. We then contact you to arrange a further attempt or to cancel the order, in line with the returns and refunds policy.
Unusual order activity
We may ask for additional confirmation where several large orders come from one address or where a payment does not match the account. This protects the store and the buyer, and it is not a judgement about you.
Responsible drinking
We do not promote excessive consumption and we publish no health claims about alcohol. If you or someone you know needs support, the SAMHSA National Helpline is free and confidential on 1-800-662-4357.
